Trick To Attach Handler UI In An Java Browser

Ok guys as u know attaching a handler version required J2ME skills, here is a trick to attach handler version.
All you need is the following tools.

1.Windiff

Code: [Select] [nofollow]
http://www.grigsoft.com/download-windiff.htm
2. JD-GUI

Code: [Select] [nofollow]
http://java.decompiler.free.fr/?q=jdgui
3. MS Word 2003 or later

4. Winrar

5. Midlet (HandlerMod & Unmodded jar file)

Here is the screen shot of required tools. Reply to see the hidden links.

Steps

1. Using Winrar, extract the midlets, HandlerMod and the Unmodded

2. Open Windiff, goto File, Compare Directories, then in the textbox Dir 1, put the Unmodded midlet folder path, while on the Dir 2, the Handlermod folder path, click OK.

3. Now this is the result, the lines that has RED is different, while the BLACK is identical.

4. Now we are about to disect the codes, lets say, the db.class, open JD-GUI, then open the db.class of HandlerMod folder, and the db.class Unmodded folder of . Select all the texts(source code) by pressing CTRL+A and CTRL+C, and paste it on Microsoft Word, do the same with the other one.

5. We should have the 2 codes pasted in Microsoft Word (db.class source code of HandlerMod folder and db.class source code of Unmodded folder), now save this file as Handler and unmodded, or which ever filename you like.

6. Open the Unmodd.doc, goto Tools, Compare & Merge Documents.

7. Select the file Handler.doc, and check the box Legal Blackline, then click Compare.

8. Then a new Document will pop-out, the BLUE colored text, are the added codes by handler. You may also see the texts that he added or deleted.

5 ways on How to protect your Facebook Book Account From Being Hacked

1. Beware of the phishing scams
Hackers gain unauthorized access through fake apps or website links. This is commonly know as phishing. When you click on a link to a Web site which looks identical to the Facebook log-in  page you automatically enter your username and password. The hacker now has immediate access to your  account Now all hacker has to do is use his newly found credentials (yours) to log in and  send a personal message to all of your friends. When your friends click on the link he gains access to their accounts also to know more about phishing click Here

2. Use Strong Passwords
Do not use  names of yourself, your spouse, parents, siblings or dog, or your birthday choose a  password   witch is at least 8 characters long use special symbols and numbers .if you find  difficulty in selecting a password you can use this website  www.strongpasswordgenerator.com  which automatically generates a strongpassword  for you, The website allows you to choose a  password  length and also gives you hints through which you can easily  memorize the password

3. Take Precautions Using Mobile Apps.
If you use a mobile phone application to access your facebook account  check to make sure the  signal is encrypted. In India most operaters use an  encrypted signal but be aware that other  countries may not use a protected  wireless signal. To avoid any problems always check with the mobile carrier you are accessing.

4.Change Your Password Regularly
The best way to protect your facebookaccount is to change your password Regularly .Change you  password at least once a month

5.Don’t Friend Everyone

That “hot chick” whom you don’t know and looks like some Hollywood starlet might be a hacker.Avoid  the person who doesn’t even have a profile pic, Friend people only you know

I hope you liked the post .If  you have any Doubts please be free to comment.

Guidelines For Creating Strong Passwords

Its been a while since i wrote a Security article , Today i will be sharing some Guidelines For Creating  Strong Passwords .This article was originally written by lockdown.co.uk .and its been modified by me.
Choosing the right password is something that many people find difficult, there are so many things that require passwords these days And remembering them all can be a real problem.Because of this a lot of People choose their passwords very badly. The simple tips given below are intended to assist you in choosing a good password

Guidelines For Creating Strong Passwords
The following are some Guidelines for creating a strong password

Basics

  • Use at least eight characters, the more characters the better really, but most people will find anything more than about 15 characters difficult to remember.
  • Use a random mixture of characters, upper and lower case, numbers, punctuation, spaces and symbols.
  • Don't use a word found in a dictionary, English or foreign.
  • Never use the same password twice.

Things to avoid
  • Don't just add a single digit or symbol before or after a word. e.g. "apple1"
  • Don't double up a single word. e.g. "appleapple"
  • Don't simply reverse a word. e.g. "elppa"
  • Don't just remove the vowels. e.g. "ppl"
  • Key sequences that can easily be repeated. e.g. "qwerty","asdf" etc.
  • Don't just garble letters, e.g. converting e to 3, L or i to 1, o to 0. as in "z3r0-10v3"

Tips
  • Choose a password that you can remember so that you don't need to keep looking it up, this reduces the chance of somebody discovering where you have written it down.
  • Choose a password that you can type quickly, this reduces the chance of somebody discovering your password by looking over your shoulder.

Bad Passwords
  • Don't use passwords based on personal information such as: name, nickname, birth date, wife's name, pet's  name, friends name, home town, phone number, social security number, car registration number,  address etc. This includes using just part of your name, or part of your birth date.
  • Don't use passwords based on things located near you. Passwords such as "computer", "monitor", "keyboard", "telephone", "printer", etc. are useless.
  • Don't ever be tempted to use one of those so common passwords that are easy to remember but offer no security at all. e.g. "password", "letmein".
  • Never use a password based on your user name, account name, computer name or email address.

Choosing a password
  • Use good password generator software.
  • Use the first letter of each word from a line of a song or poem.
  • Alternate between one consonant and one or two vowels to produce nonsense words. eg. "taupouti".
  • Choose two short words and concatenate them together with a punctuation or symbol character between the words. eg. "seat%tree"

Changing your password
  • You should change your password regularly, I suggest once a month is reasonable for most purposes.
  • You should also change your password whenever you suspect that somebody knows it, or even that they may guess it, perhaps they stood behind you while you typed it in.
  • Remember, don't re-use a password.

Protecting your password
  • Never store your password on your computer except in an encrypted form. Note that the password cache that comes with windows (.pwl files) is NOT secure, so whenever windows prompts you to "Save password" don't.
  • Don't tell anyone your password, not even your system administrator
  • Never send your password via email or other unsecured channel
  • Yes, write your password down but don't leave the paper lying around, lock the paper away somewhere, preferably off-site and definitely under lock and key.
  • Be very careful when entering your password with somebody else in the same room.

Remembering your password
Remembering passwords is always difficult and because of this many people are tempted to write them down on bits of paper. As mentioned above this is a very bad idea. So what can you do?
  • Use a secure password manager, see the downloads page for a list of a few that won't cost you anything.
  • Use a text file encrypted with a strong encryption utility.
  • Choose passwords that you find easier to remember.

Bad Examples
  • "fred8" - Based on the users name, also too short.
  • "christine" - The name of the users girlfriend, easy to guess
  • "kciredref" - The users name backwords
  • "indescribable" - Listed in a dictionary

Good Examples
None of these good examples are actually good passwords, that's because they've been published here and everybody knows them now, always choose your own password don't just use somebody Else's.

  • "mItWdOtW4Me" - Monday is the worst day of the week for me.

If you find  difficulty in selecting a password you can use this website  www.strongpasswordgenerator.com
which automatically generates a strong password  for you, The website allows you to choose a  password length and also gives you hints through which you can easily  memorize the password

Hope this Information Helps ,If you have any doubts please feel free to post a comment

How to protect yourself against phishing

1. What is phishing?
  • Phishing is the method of stealing login info(usernames and passwords) by directing the slave to a clone(fake) login page, that logs the login info without the knowledge of the slave.
  • Such clone website is known as a phisher.

    2. How to protect yourself against phishing?
    • Use your login info in the correct places only.
Don’t ever put your login info anywhere else than the page you registered to, unless it’s a trusted service you know(such as youtube or blogger asking for your google account’s info).
    • Make sure the website you’re logging in isn’t fake.
Whenever you login to a website, if you didn’t type the URL(address) of the website yourself, i.e. if you clicked a link that led you to the login page(from message, website, search engine results), always check the url(address) to see if you’re in the right place.
For instance, if you’re logging in your facebook account, make sure the url appears as http://www.facebook.com/…
Where a phisher page would look like http://www.facebook.freewebs.com/… or http://www.facebook.spam.com/… or any url whose part before the .com isn’t exactly the same as the page you want to login to.
    • Make sure the links you’re clicking aren’t fake.
Whenever you’re clicking a link, check where the link goes before clicking it. Links can be masked to appear as something else than the page they’re leading to. For example, www.google.com leads to yahoo instead of google. Fortunately, in most browsers, whenever you point your mouse cursor over the link, the true location of the link is displayed on the bottom left part of the screen. Try it with the above link.
This is particularly important because it can protect you from another, rarer but more dangerous method called cookie stealing, which is basically automatically stealing your account if you’re previously logged in the website.
    • Know that links to phishing pages are usually spread via email, and often represent impersonating trusted services and persons, such as making the email appear as it’s sent from the website you’ve registered to, or a friend of yours whose account has been compromised.

      3. What to do if you have spotted a phisher?

        4. Videos
          Phishing Scams in Plain English

Any feedback or additions you would like to make are welcome.
        Thanks.
